Our History
JAMONES GRANADINOS S.A. started production in the 1930's. In those days, ham came from home-raised pigs that were slaughtered a few at a time, making it difficult to find sufficient prime materials.
The pigs were then collected from scattered points all over the region before being brought to those sites where this company first started out, and where the working conditions were very different to those we find today.
However, none of that hindered the people who began this enterprise, and who remained as keen as the first day until eventually handing it on to the present, and equally keen generation.
Our Reality
Today, Jamones Granadinos, S.A. is a growing company that distributes and sells its products both nationally and, since the 1990's, in European countries such as Germany and France.
Our company, in accordance with the modern world in which we live, has made an enormous effort to improve its infrastructure in order to achieve a product of the highest quality.
Facilities
Our current facilities have been designed in strict compliance to the most stringent sanitary and technical laws. We have incorporated the latest technologies that are currently at our disposal, always making full use of our micro-climate (humidity and temperature) which proves ideal for the excellent curing process that our hams undergo.
Thus, 85% of our facilities are dedicated to natural drying areas, where our hams are slowly cured over time, thereby achieving an end product of the highest quality.
